Picture Book Month Is In November.....There Are Lots Of Ways & Resources To Celebrate!

I love the fall months, especially November and December with the holidays here.

And I love another very special celebration held in November too!
It is Picture Book Month!  This is an international literacy initiative that celebrates the print picture book during the month of November.

This week the Picture Book Month Calendar Of Events was announced.  You can find it above and on the website here.
The group of 2016 Picture Book Month Champions is filled with amazing authors, illustrators and others in the kidlit world.

You will find lots of ideas and information on the Picture Book Month website including...
...the Picture Book Month Teacher's Guide....Why Picture Book sBelong In Our Classrooms.  You can find it here too.

The teacher guide is filled with wonderful ideas and activities to bring picture books into the ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies curriculum.

I always love watching Twitter and Facebook to see what teacher librarians and teachers are doing around the world for Picture Book Month too.
Make sure you register so you can celebrate your love of picture books in November and throughout the year.
